As Manager, Business Analysis & Planning, you will manage the financial planning, forecasting, analysis, management reports & business plan oversight for Global Sales and Marketing efforts involving the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises brands. You will lead a team of 2 Senior Analysts to pro-actively research and identify opportunities, to improve business results through cost efficiency and revenue increases. You will also work with the AVP of Global Distribution on numerous revenue transformation programs across all 11 Global Offices and 3 IR Regions

Career Snapshot:

  • Manage the annual operating plan process for both revenue and expenditure (operating & capital) for the LACAR IR International regions.
  • Manage the quarterly and monthly sourcing forecast process for the division. Prepare presentations to present the annual plan and quarterly forecasts in review meetings with senior management.
  • Identification and quantification of risks and opportunities in forecasts and plans.
  • Responsible for overseeing the monthly Acctg close variance analysis review. Provide variance analysis, accruals, monthly & quarterly bridges for 2 G&A and 3 S&M forecasts.
  • Work with UK Finance team to manage these forecasts to within 2% variance
  • IR Override Reporting (Regional and Country level) & Consolidation of country reports.
  • Lead the quarterly & annual override scheme analysis and reporting for all three IR Regions. Includes tracking monthly actuals vs. tiered goals, bi weekly reporting to Sales Directors & Mgmt, forecasting quarterly and full year payouts and posting of monthly override accruals.
  • Direct Channels and Commissions structure and Sales Bonus Scheme. Work with senior management and IR Sales Directors on the commission structures / contracts.
  • Work with Sales Directors on design and production of sales related incentive schemes for Sales Managers and Direct Sales Reservation Agents (Miramar). Provide regular analysis on the commission expenditure / channel performance and profitability.
  • Oversee monthly production and distribution of Consumer Outreach (Direct) Scorecard. Consolidate Global Direct Sales results for all channels, Offices and IR Regions.
  • Create quarterly Direct Global forecast for all channels and Offices.
  • Track cross-border selling activity and work with Global Offices & Miami to find ways to mitigate impact on distributing agents.
  • Capital Investment Projects Responsible for assisting business managers with preparation of cost and benefits justification for capital investment projects including IRR and NPV calculations Responsible for analyzing capital projects for reasonableness. Manage the capital acquisition request process to properly justify the benefits of capital expenditures while facilitating the approval process.
  • Provide continuous input to Revenue Management, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Marketing and Deployment on business opportunities within the Global Markets.
  • Interacts with revenue management to identify opportunities to maximize sales from IR regions.
  • Work with cross functional groups to develop and monitor the performance and profitability of strategic products; ensure ships/products are profitable. (ROA, OI and NIY performance)
  • Generate and report weekly, monthly, and annual international guest volume bookings, APDs, and revenues by territory for LACAR IR region.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, financial analysis, budgeting, international business management, revenue management and/or other relevant business management experience.
  • Business/Financial Planning experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience leading a team of senior level analysts preferred
  • Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
  • Individual must be able to adapt to a dynamic and growing international business environment.
  • Must have excellent skills in leadership, supervisory, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical and budget management.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Hyperion, Essbase, JD Edwards, Advanced Excel, Power Point and Brio
