Position Summary:
The e-Commerce Content Specialist is responsible for the content development of all Shore Excursion products, promotions and ecommerce marketing efforts for Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD. The position requires a strong understanding of digital best practices, SEO as it relates solely to content marketing and social media trends.
Career Snapshot:
- Assists in driving results through compelling user engagement, organic and paid online promotions, and e-Commerce strategies with the goal of maximizing acquisition, sales, and margin
- Creates user-generated content, launches viral marketing campaigns, and works with internal and external resources to collect other assets (content, video clips, images, size charts, artwork, etc.) and organizes them accordingly to publish online
- Works closely with e-Commerce Manager to drive content marketing initiatives that support the e-Commerce strategy
- Ensures social media and consumer-generated content is fully integrated with other marketing and operational efforts across the brands
- Executes content strategy across all digital and social ecosystems
- Drives purchase intent [intentions] through content marketing initiatives via organic and paid media
- Creates, modifies and communicates content briefs to the creative teams per strategic direction from leadership
- Coordinates the planning and creation of content calendars and communications for websites, landing pages, social media, email marketing, display media, blog posts, etc
- Gathers and organizes information and assets from internal and external groups (including images, copy, size info, videos, pricing, etc.) to publish accordingly
- Leverages analytics to continuously optimize efforts, ensuring campaign targets are met
- Works with web/e-Commerce brand teams and IT to resolve issues and ensure a stable end-user experience
- Performs quality assurance (QA) testing of website assets, images and other related content
- Stays up-to-date on industry standards, best practices and trends in digital, and SEO as it relates to content marketing
- Monitors the marketplace incorporating innovations, changes and developments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3 years working in content management and e-Commerce
- Experience with optimizing content and images
- Experience on digital marketing, search and social media community management
- Experience in developing digital content
- Working knowledge of e-Commerce best practices
- Strong project management
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible, comfortable with technology and willing to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Knowledge of social media and SEO (search engine optimization) principles required
- Intermediate level system experience with Web site, database and spreadsheet
- Capable of managing multiple competing priorities and aggressive timelines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate broadly
- Basic knowledge of web site and content management system
Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in interactive or traditional Marketing, Advertising or Business preferred
- Agency experience preferred
