Supervision and instruction in Deck Department especially considering the vessel’s safety, environment protection at sea and the quality of services. Delivering an exceptional guest service for our travelers in accordance with Grand Circle Cruise Line (GCCL) standards, while contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Practicing GCCL values
• Supervision and instruction of deck crew in maintenance
• Sounding of fresh, ballast and grey water tanks, inspecting and maintaining as per CO instructions
• Supervision of cleanliness on deck and accommodation, keeping deck stores and paint in good order, inventory and ordering of consumable materials with CO
• Maintenance of cargo gear, deck equipment, mooring lines and mooring gear, greasing of moving parts, cleaning conveyors, etc.
• Organizing work of deck crew as per Chief Officer’s orders
• Operating Zodiac and life raft cranes
• Departure and arrival preparation of the deck and deck equipment
• Cooperation with Hospitality Department and be ready to assist in carrying luggage
• Participate on scheduled provisions loading as well as in waste disposal when necessary
• Maneuvering duties as per CO instructions
• Any additional duty advised by supervisor

Skills/Qualifications:

• STCW certification compulsory for the vessel
• Medical fitness
• Professional experience
