River Cruise Job - Bar Waiter/ess

On behalf of our respectable Client (5* European River Cruise Line), we are looking for highly motivated Bar Waiter/ess.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing efficient, expedient and courteous service of beverages to the guests
• Communication skills. Listening to and taking action on guests complaints
• Taking drink orders, Setting tables, Making and serving drinks, Cleaning and tidying the bar
• Collecting and washing glasses
• Ensure all administrative procedures relating to beverage control are followed
• Assist in carrying out inventories after each cruise under the guidance of the Bartender
• Report for duty in a timely manner to scheduled time to assure proper lounge set-up is done, wearing the correct uniform and nametags at all times
• Be aware of any special cocktails, daily cocktails and special events
• Ensure courteous and professional service at all times
• Be on station, and ensure that lounge and bar is clean and call for help if needed
• Ensure right garnish is used on drinks and condiments are served if required
• Socialize with clients when time allows

YOUR PROFILE

• At least two years of hotel or prior ship experience in a comparable position
• Fluent in spoken English and/or German depending on the ship
• Knowledge of cocktails
• A flexible and motivated team player and a high degree of social competence
• Ability to work at the Restaurant Section if required
• Clean and friendly appearance
• Communicational skills
• Stress resistant
