As a Holland America Line Bartender You will create a HAL Dutch Café experience for our guests by providing once-in-a-lifetime guest service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, hygienic and comfortable environment.

Contract lengths will be 6 months with a 2 months unpaid leave period.  Flights to and from the ship are paid for, all visa costs will be reimbursed and we will apply for a Dutch Seaman's book for you. 

The position is a Crew rating – shared cabin accommodation, uniforms are provided on board.

Hiring Criteria:

• Excellent command of the English & Dutch Language
• Extensive knowledge of beverages such as coffee and teas.
• Advanced knowledge of varying brands and quality of liquors and beers, including Dutch specialties.
• Handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Ability to read, interpret and demonstrate the preparation of recipes, basic mixology experience.
• Ability to investigate and solve passengers complains, follows up and meet/exceed guest expectations.
• Basic knowledge of beverage handling procedures with regard to public health standards.
• Cost awareness and full understanding of inventory control and inventory taking.
• Ability to train and guide assigned waiting staff.
