What you will be doing
The Destination Services Advisor is responsible for supporting the day to day delivery and efficient running of the Destination Services operation and promotion of future cruises onboard their allocated vessel. Supporting the Destination Services Manager and Assistant Destination Services Manager to promote, administer and deliver the excursion programme and future holiday sales onboard.
Maintaining a high level of customer service whilst displaying the ideals of Marella Cruises to enhance the passengers overall enjoyment of the programme whilst maximising revenue potential and sales. Ensure the provision of independent advice (ensuring soft sell towards excursions) and support for the general operation onboard where directed.
What we are looking for
- A customer driven and positive individual who supports the promotion, delivery and efficient running of the Destination Services operation onboard.
- Confident and fun personality with a strong commitment to achieve targets and overcome challenges. Ensuring effective promotion and organization of both Destination Service and future cruises.
- Accountability to achieve customer service satisfaction scores through supreme knowledge of the shore excursion program, destinations and fleet deployment to optimize customer experiences.
- Contribute in the administration of all supporting paperwork and promotional materials (including Port Showcase, digital signage, TV screens and iPads) as directed by Destination Services Manager.
- Willingness to engage and collaborate with both internal and external parties involved in Destination Services and future cruises as required.
- Provision of information for independent passengers whilst maintaining the focus on excursions.
- Flexible approach and support of the wider operation onboard as necessary (e.g. embarkation duties and social functions).
- Desirable to have held a passenger contact position onboard a cruise ship but must be fluent in English.
- Able to adapt to regular business change and new technology

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
