Public Health Manager - Cruise

The Company

I am currently working with leading Cruise Company, and have an exciting opportunity for a Public Health Manager - this senior role would suit an experienced professional, with either experience working in a similar capacity, extensive public health /sanitation experience, or experience sailing as a Sanitation officer / Public Health on board.

The Role

As Public Health Manager you will enjoy a varied role. Based in the companies Head Office - you will be responsible for the fleet wide Public Health programme.

This proactive role will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to be innovative, responsibilities will include developing Public Health operational policies, overseeing and coordinating internal inspections, attending ship visits, creating and developing fleet sanitation training, supporting the fleet with regulatory inspections, monitoring Public Health regulatory requirements - and ensuring that the company remains in line with these.

The ideal candidate will have:

-Maritime experience in a senior Public Health / Sanitation capacity (Cruise experience is an advantage)

-Degree in Public Health / Biology / Environmental studies

-Attended Centre for Disease Control (CDC) Vessel Sanitation Programme training

-Attended Advanced Health and Sanitation Food training

-Understanding of a ships layout, and maritime rules and regulations

-Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills

-Fluent English language skills

-Good computer skills (Word / Excel / Powerpoint)

-The existing right to live and work in the USA is required for this position
