For our growing fleet, we are currently searching for IT managers.
Your responsibility will include, but will not be limited to:
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs
- Work with and communicate with all level of employees, including senior officers
- Support, manage and resolve incoming technical support requests initiated by telephone, electronic mail, pager system, radio and/or walk-in requests for all systems and equipment within the IT environment
- Maintenance and monitoring of Hyper-V cluster environment. Operational maintenance and sustainment to include configuring Virtual Machines (VMs), loading Operating systems and software, performing patching, and monitoring system status
- Support and maintain Active Directory infrastructure including identity management, Group Policy updates, Software updates
- Monitor replication between domain controllers using approved tools
- Manage and monitor backup process to include daily review of backup logs and monthly test restores as part of routine maintenance and testing
- Provide first level trouble shooting on Hyper-V Cluster, File server, MS Exchange, DC, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, PAL, GTMail, Visionline, and RESCO SQL server operations
- Analyse and diagnose system failures to determine their causes and make written recommendations for corrective action
- Provide installation, testing and maintenance of operating system and applications software
- Assist with desktop problems involving user account, passwords and access to data files
- Assist with troubleshoot problems encountered using appropriate/designated software such as MS Office applications, Resco SMS applications, Assa Abloy Visionline application
- Performing operator/user maintenance and minor repairs on hardware and peripherals such as Printers, Computers, Servers and Network equipment/components
- Performing new equipment setups, reconfigurations, and relocations
- Conduct fault isolation and resolution of network problems, whether passive and/or active network equipment, workstation, peripherals, or other hardware
- Actively participate and support new system installation
- Global Eagle VSAT equipment – Maintain constant uninterrupted internet connection by regular monitoring and contacting GE NOC support in case of any irregularities found. Regular check of below and above deck VSAT equipment. This includes Main and backup antenna pedestal initialisation check.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all POS devices onboard
- Ensure Check-In setup is assembled and fully functional on embarkation day. This includes setting up ID Card printers, Laptops, ID reads and related accessories. Full support to Chief Purser and reception team on embarkation day is priority.
- Assist Security Officer with RFID key locking system. Programming locks troubleshoot or advance usage of Assa Abloy Visionline software solution
- Support Security Team in setting up or troubleshooting Gangway laptop computers (troubleshoot network connectivity if needed)
- Maintain constant uninterrupted email communication. Ensure GTmail email relay service is operational. In case of emergency, secondary means of internet communication is provided through Inmarsat Fleet 250 broadband.
- Generate Internet ticket usage reports as per Crew Office or Reception Team request
- Maintain and regularly update onboard internet access system (IAC BOX)
- Maintain Vista Lounge internet computers (Regular AV update)
- Maintain onboard Resco SMS system. Troubleshoot and report software issues to Resco support.
- Preparing requisitions as required and following it up with HOD.
- Update and maintain IT Asset inventory system
- Prepare physical copy of Resco EOC database backup at the end of each cruise. Copies to be handed over to Excursion manager
- Regular and on demand reporting to Chief Electrician and Chief Engineer
Candidates should:
- Hold industry acknowledged/recognised certification like Microsoft (MCP, MCSA or MCSE) or Cisco (CCNA)
- Be able to provide a strong technical support for the IT infrastructure and Users
- Be proficient in Microsoft Application servers: DC(Active Directory), DNS, DHCP, Fileserver, Exchange, Hyper-V
- Have strong working experience with Microsoft technologies Active and Passive network equipment and technologies, Storage Systems, Server Hardware, Virtual Environments, Backup Solutions

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.
Language Requirements
