Senior Structures Engineer (Maritime) - Permanent - Glasgow - Competitive Salary

A leading Marine Equipment company is recruiting for a Senior Structures Engineer to join the team based in Glasgow.

You will be reporting to the Project Manager and will be responsible for undertaking the design and analysis of structures within the marine environment.

Other duties will include (but are not limited to);

• Conducting structural analysis for projects and contracts, using first principal calculations, code checks and Finite Element Analysis.
• Understanding client requirements and develop concepts and design specifications in relation to these.
• Developing technical documentation for client projects and internal use.
• Assisting with the costing enquiries for both new and existing clients
• Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are followed

You will be a good communicator and diligent to make sure that tasks are carried out efficiently and any problems are resolved.

You will have a high level of understanding commercial contracts and the ability to identify risks as well as profit and budget opportunities.

You will come from an engineering software background and have experience in finite element analysis and Math-cad calculations software, as well as experience of 3D modelling package.
