Description

The Junior Concierge role involves researching upcoming ports, preparing guest itineraries, and managing daily communications for the Concierge team. Responsibilities include on-site port inspections, collaborating with the Content Specialist, and assisting in dispatch operations. The Junior Concierge also provides coverage for the destination desk when needed. This position requires attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Essential Duties

  1. Undertake thorough research on upcoming ports to provide the Concierge team with comprehensive information.
  2. Stay informed about local attractions, cultural events, and logistical considerations.
  3. Efficiently print and prepare itineraries and confirmations for guest arrangements.
  4. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation.
  5. Conduct on-site inspections of ports to gain insights into operations.
  6. Share observations and recommendations with the Concierge team for enhanced service.
  7. Collaborate closely with the Publishing Content Specialist to maintain and update collateral.
  8. Ensure that all promotional materials align with the latest information and offerings.
  9. Work closely with the Manager and Assistant Destinations Experience Manager to provide dispatch assistance as needed.
  10. Support seamless coordination between onboard teams and shore excursion operators.
  11. Provide coverage for the destination desk when required, ensuring continuous and efficient service.




Qualifications

  1. Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position
  2. Possess a minimum of one (1) year of onboard shore excursion experience or relevant field expertise
  3. Exhibit experience with the Microsoft Office suite, ensuring efficient handling of documentation and communication


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The Lady or Gentleman must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be able to communicate in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
