Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the operational management of all Housekeeping functions and may be assigned to manage accommodation area or assigned Public areas day/night or Crew area or Pool area. This position provides direct support to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the division’s objectives are met and the day-to-day operations in Accommodation, Pool, Public/ Crew areas are maintained to standard. Housekeeping Supervisor possess a keen understanding of the importance of exceptional service to ensure complete guest and team satisfaction while providing strong leadership to all team members. In accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s Royal Way, each Employee always conducts himself in a professional and courteous manner. This consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow Employees and/or in the presence of guest and employee.
Hiring Requirements:
- Minimum one year Housekeeping Supervisory experience a large 4- or 5-star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line or hospitality industry related field required, with demonstrated experience supervising team of minimum of 10 employees.
- Extensive knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling and safety related procedures, requirements and use of equipment, personal protective equipment and job safety analysis related to proper handling chemicals, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy equipment, garbage removal.
- Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or related Company programs (SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, Kronos etc.)
Language Requirements
- Good knowledge of the English language is required. Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French preferred.
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
