3rd Officer

As a 3rd Officer, you will contribute to the safety and efficiency of the vessel by supporting the Deck, Navigation, and Safety Officers. Your primary responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining lifesaving equipment, aiding in passage planning and vessel mooring, and supervising deck maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in English (spoken and written); German language skills are an advantage
• Previous experience as a 3rd Officer on a cruise ship or similar vessel.
• National Certificate of Competency and Endorsement II/1
• GMDSS General Operator's Certificate (A-IV/2)
• Flag State Endorsement (COC, GMDSS - GOC)
• Basic Training (A-VI/1)
• Advanced Firefighting (A-VI/3)
• Medical First Aid (A-VI/4-1)
• ECDIS - Generic (A-II/1 & 2)
• Designated Security Duties (A-VI/6-2)
• Proficiency In Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (A-VI/2)
• Crowd Management Training
• Medical Certificate (valid and compliant with STCW and flag state standards)
• Seaman’s book
• Passport (min. validity 6 months)
• Visa (if required by embarkation port or vessel itinerary)
• Yellow fever vaccination (only in high-risk trade areas)
• Measles vaccination (only in high-risk trade areas)
• Covid vaccination (WHO approved fully vaccinated / booster recommended)
