About you
• 3+ years' experience in inventory management, financial/accounting reporting on board, and
Food & Beverage management
• Previous experience in managing a large multicultural team
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, plus Mobile
Devices, Point of Sales system (MXP database.)
• Excellent communication skills and service minded (enjoys guest interaction and has a genuine
interest in the guests’ experience)
Role Overview
As part of our Mississippi Administration team, your job as the Sr. Relief Officer is to step -up as the
Inventory Manager and Associate General Manager when they are off the ship on rotation. As the relief
of the inventory manager, you are expected to manage and control the inventory of food, beverage,
operating supplies, linen, uniform durables and consumables in large volumes. As the relief of the
Associate General Manager you are expected to be the superior handling of Guests relations on board,
as well as prepare and analyze financial reports, budget, and inventory management. As other leadership
positions, you will be evaluated based on both guest satisfaction, measurement reports, financial results
and crew turnover
• You will be reporting to the Hotel General Manager
• You will be expected to work on a 12/4 rotation (12 weeks on board and 4 weeks off on
vacation). Please note that rotation lengths vary based on staffing and operational needs

Role Expectations
• When in the inventory manager role, you will be expected to manage food & beverage inventories
within Public Health / FDA and Viking health guidelines including product rotation (FIFO)
• Understand the Menus and Food specs, to maintain a consistent quality and quantities without
over-ordering, no running short
• Maintain all inventories within budgeted guidelines, and the financial reports within the
guidelines and requirements of the accounting and finance teams shoreside
• When in the Associate General Manager, you are expected to be the superior handling of Guest
Relations on board
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with crew members on board, understand their roles,
and being able to upscale Hotel Management, Housekeeping, and Guest Services management
• Develop and maintain a consistent and clear communication with the accounting and finance
teams shoreside to work according to their requirements on financial reports onboard
• Always uphold impeccable grooming standards by complying with Viking’s Image and Uniform
Standards
• Demonstrate outstanding flexibility: able to work at various times of the day, under pressure and
always reflect a positive can-do attitude and the best image of Viking
• You will be expected to consistently arrive on time and be prepared for work
• Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at leaders’ discretion based on operational needs
Mandatory requirements & at will employment:
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) to work onboard the ship, as required by federal
regulations
• Ability to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test. Viking Mississippi is a drug-free and
alcohol-free workplace
• Must be 21+ years old, physically fit and in good health to meet the demands of an intense
shipboard role; must be able to carry heavy items and stand, kneel, and bend for prolonged
periods of time
