We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Hotel Engineer to join our team aboard a luxury cruise ship. The Hotel Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the operation of all hotel-related systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other technical services that ensure a comfortable and safe experience for our guests and crew. This position is crucial in supporting the smooth daily operations of the hotel facilities on board.

Key Responsibilities:


- Manage the maintenance and repair of all hotel-related systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, elevators, and waste management.
- Ensure all hotel technical equipment and systems operate efficiently and in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel areas, including guest cabins, public spaces, kitchens, and crew areas, to ensure proper functioning of all equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment and systems, taking appropriate corrective actions to prevent operational downtime.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, food & beverage) to resolve any technical issues that may impact guest experience.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs for hotel systems to avoid service interruptions.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Support the Chief Engineer and technical team in ensuring compliance with ISM (International Safety Management), SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), and other applicable maritime regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and equipment replacement as needed.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts and materials required for hotel system maintenance and repairs.
- Participate in safety drills and emergency response teams to ensure preparedness for any technical issues affecting the hotel operations.

Qualifications:


- Degree or certification in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Valid STCW certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality sector on cruise ships
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and water/waste management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in English;
- Flexibility to work on rotation aboard the ship for extended periods.
