Position Summary:
The Assistant Repairman shall carry out the work orders given by the Repair Supervisor. They are skilled workers and must be able to carry out all kinds of maintenance and repair work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair and maintenance of the following equipment as assigned by the Hotel Maintenance Manager and/or Repair Supervisor:
- Laundry equipment (non-electrical)
- Technical and plumbing equipment in galleys, bars and pantries
- Filling and emptying duties/technical equipment for Jacuzzi, Spas and Pools
- Welding, including Gas, Electric, TIG, and MIG
- Lathe machine, milling machine and all common shop equipment
- Most steelwork, including stainless steel
- General maintenance of plumbing and piping system within the Hotel areas of responsibility
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
