Job Overview:

The Cruise Staff is responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable, engaging, and memorable experience on board. They organize and lead various entertainment and recreational activities, interact with guests, and contribute to the overall lively atmosphere of the cruise. This role requires enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Activity Planning and Hosting: Organize, promote, and host a variety of daily activities, including trivia, games, parties, dance lessons, and other events for guests of all ages.
• Entertainment Assistance: Support the Cruise Director and the entertainment team in setting up and running large-scale events such as themed nights, live shows, and deck parties.
• Guest Interaction: Serve as a welcoming presence for guests, answering their questions, providing information about daily activities, and ensuring a friendly atmosphere throughout the ship.
• Public Announcements: Make clear and engaging public announcements regarding upcoming activities and events over the ship’s PA system.
• Crowd Engagement: Lead and manage group activities, ensuring high levels of guest participation, safety, and enjoyment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other cruise departments such as the entertainment team, food & beverage, and guest services to coordinate activities and improve the guest experience.
• Cultural Awareness: Maintain an inclusive environment by being mindful of the cultural diversity of guests and their preferences.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities are carried out following safety protocols, and assist with emergency procedures when required.

Qualifications:

• Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or event coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, energetic, and able to interact with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
• Fluency in English and German is required (additional languages are a plus).
• Ability to manage multiple activities and engage large groups.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to adapt to various situations.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand and move for long periods.
• Capable of lifting moderate weights when setting up activities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
