We are seeking a motivated and responsible individual to join our team as a Garbage Utility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the waste disposal process and ensuring that all garbage handling and storage operations are compliant with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, and manage the storage of garbage from various areas of the ship.
• Operate waste disposal equipment, including compactors, shredders, and incinerators.
• Ensure proper segregation of waste in compliance with environmental regulations (plastic, organic, hazardous, etc.).
• Regularly clean and sanitize garbage areas to maintain hygiene and prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping and technical teams to ensure smooth waste management processes.
• Assist in the preparation of waste for offloading at designated ports.
• Ensure compliance with the ship’s waste management policies and international maritime regulations.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in waste management or a similar utility role (preferred but not required).
• Basic understanding of safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid STCW certification
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
