We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Second Officer - Environmental to join our team onboard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and management of the ship’s environmental policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Staff Captain in implementing and maintaining the ship’s environmental management system.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all international maritime environmental regulations, including MARPOL, IMO, and company policies.
• Oversee waste management procedures, including the segregation, collection, and disposal of waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of onboard environmental systems, including water, waste, and air pollution controls.
• Ensure proper record-keeping of environmental logs, reports, and documentation.
• Provide environmental training and guidance to crew members, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to best practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid STCW certification and other relevant maritime qualifications.
• Experience in a similar environmental role onboard a vessel, preferably a cruise ship.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime environmental regulations (e.g., MARPOL, IMO).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work across different departments.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.
