JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a talented Facilities and General Services Manager to join our team and help us achieve our goal of providing a warm and functional workspace that enhances employee engagement and encourages socialisation.
As Facilities and General Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving our physical workspace. We are working on a project to transform / improve our office space – you will project manage this in close collaboration with external vendors and in full alignment of business needs. You will be responsible for leading the department of Facilities and General Services, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, managing events and utilising your customer focused approach to create an environment that is positive for the needs of the business. This varied role covers all aspects of operations for the Stockley Park Office.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Managing all aspects of facilities associated with the property, including but not limited to; utilities, rates, power generator, post, couriers,
- Managing a large refurbishment project
- Coordinating special events such as internal celebrations and conferences with external parties
- Coordinating cleaning, catering and parking services
- Coordinating with the Security team on site security / access to the building etc.
- Liaising with relevant suppliers and the estate management company for Stockley Park
- Managing a small team, including receptionists
- Supporting the leasing arrangements / sub tenant as necessary
- Where appropriate routine maintenance, safety checks etc
- Fire marshal and first aid coordinator
- Ensuring policies and processes are maintained and updated in accordance with relevant legislation
- Supporting financial budgeting and forecasting for facilities related expenses
- Managing office systems, working with IT as necessary
- Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences.
- Responsible for Health and Safety Protocol and ISO 14001 Certification
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years experience working as Facilities Manager (or similar)
- Technically competent, with excellent problem solving, analytical, IT and managerial skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people
- Time management and the ability to handle a complex workload
- Budget management experience
- Experience useful in areas such as: administration; building; business; construction; engineering; management.
- Full UK driving license
VISA REQUIREMENTS
The existing right to work in the UK is required.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
