Digital Copywriter
\nJob Summary:
\nWe are seeking an experienced copywriter and digital native with strong critical thinking skills who can deliver engaging, accurate, on-brand copy for a variety of projects across our digital marketing channels. Reporting to our Sr. Manager, Digital Copy, you will work cross functionally, serving as a steward of the brand. You will be responsible for writing content for Viking’s digital marketing channels, including (but not limited to) e-mail marketing and digital advertising (paid social media and display ads).
\nFor the ideal candidate: You are passionate about travel and the world around you. You are a creative thinker who values constructive feedback and thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaborative editing is critical. You are a natural storyteller and consensus builder who is also comfortable presenting work to peers. And, you have strong project management skills, the ability to multitask and exceptional attention to detail. Experience writing copy for digital ads and adhering to strict character count limits while maintaining a creative, on-brand voice is a plus.
\nThis position is within our Brand & Communications team and based in our corporate office in Woodland Hills, CA. You will work a hybrid schedule every week, Mon/Weds/Thurs in office.
\nJob Responsibilities:

- Writes high quality copy for a range of projects across Viking’s digital marketing channels, the execution of which includes (but is not limited to): e-mail marketing and digital advertising (paid social media and display ads). \n
- Maintains knowledge of current copy standards and formats to consistently and effectively convey Viking’s image and positioning within the marketplace. \n
- Collaborates cross-functionally with designers, writers, other marketing team members and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate concepts, themes, and messages are represented effectively and consistently for the business objective(s) and audience(s). \n
· Collaborates closely with the digital marketing team to create engaging and targeted copy for various online channels.
\n· Develops content aligned with digital marketing strategies to boost sales, generate leads and enhance conversions.
\n· Creates captivating email and digital marketing copy that resonates with our audience and possesses a strong understanding of e-mail marketing and digital advertising processes and best practices.
\n· Adapts writing style seamlessly to suit diverse digital platforms and channels.
\nJob Requirements:
\n- \n
- BA in English, journalism, communications or a related field \n
- 3+ years of copywriting experience—through journalism, corporate copywriting or a combination \n
- An exceptional copywriting portfolio with samples of multiple types of writing including brand copy, advertising/marketing copy, long and short form copy \n
- Proven creative ability \n
- A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles \n
- Excellent time management and organizational skills \n
- Accuracy and attention to detail; rigorous grammatical standards (knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style helpful) \n
- Superior spelling, grammar and proofreading skills \n
- Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment \n
- Capable of adapting to last-minute revisions and directional changes based on business needs \n
- The ability to remain calm under pressure \n
- Open and receptive to constructive feedback \n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Travel, hospitality, and/or arts & culture expertise \n
- Experience writing copy for audiences in English-speaking international markets \n
- Experience with Microsoft 365/Teams \n
- Experience working with AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) \n
- Experience with SEO and SEM copywriting \n

- Salary range $80,000-$95,000 annually determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations. \n
