Description
The Fleet Manager Provisions serves as the primary expert for all shipboard procurement using the crunchtime system, supporting both ship and shore teams. They act as the main contact for ongoing system support and handle communication of issues between the Fleet Managers, Provisions team and crunchtime representatives. The role includes assisting with audits and process reviews related to store operations, providing corrective actions, and sharing findings with the management team. They are responsible for training onboard staff on inventory management, creating accurate Master Orders, and maintaining proper inventory levels. The Fleet Manager Provisions works with both shipboard and shore teams to gather requirements, assess system capabilities, and recommend solutions to improve operations. They also create and update reference materials for all shipboard functions. The role involves planning and coordinating system testing and the implementation of updates while reporting any system issues. The Fleet Manager Provisions maintains strong relationships with user departments, communicates issues promptly, and coordinates efforts to resolve them. Finally, they assist in setting budget targets, monitor inventory levels, and ensure compliance with SOX controls for inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the primary expert for the crunchtime system, providing support and training to shipboard and shore teams on procurement and inventory management.
2. Act as the main point of contact for ongoing system support, facilitating communication between the various stakeholders.
3. Conducts audits, process reviews, and corrective actions related to operating systems, and communicate findings and action plans to the management team.
4. Plan and coordinate system testing, quality assurance, and implementation of crunchtime updates, ensuring proper functionality.
5. Support budgeting and cost control by helping set targets for food, supplies, and inventory, and monitor alignment with company goals.
Skills & Experience
- Five years experience as Provision Master and/or Inventory Accountant within Cruise Industry or Maritime industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of logistics, accounts, and procurement strategies.
- Detailed knowledge of international procurement, warehousing and ship chandler practices.
- Extensive management expereince within cruise industry.
- Advanced user of excel, crunchtime and data processing systems
- Ability to interact at all levels of the organization with effective and professional interpersonal skills.
- Responsive to internal and external communication.
Requirements
- University Degree equivalent to bachelor’s program relating to the Hospitality industry or procurement & logistics.
- Possesses working knowledge of the Provision Master department operations, including policies and procedures., with understanding of the Inventory operations, including policies and procedures.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to master software systems
- Excellent verbal and written English communications skills, displaying a strong command of the English language.
- Excellent inter-personal skills with professional demeanor. Able to work well with shipboard and corporate personnel.
- Individual who is highly motivated, takes initiative, and is self-driven. Must have the ability to multi-task and handle constantly changing priorities. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven training skills with the ability to create training materials and to deliver a concise message.
- Strategic planner, with an innovative, hands-on, and practical approach. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to provide sound leadership and motivation to employees in pursuit of company goals.
