The Role:  We seek a talented and experienced 'Inventory Manager'.

Description Brief:

Overall responsible for all Hotel department inventory systems, store-keeping and delivering clear and accurate results and reports regarding inventory transactions, cost and stock control (revenue and non-revenue), inventory levels, inventory turnover and irregularities.

The inventory Manager (IM) is in charge of the storage and on-board inventory of Scenic and Emerald vessels (Ocean) and responsible for the whole storing area standards, following the company’s Policies, procedures and guidelines.

IM has also an important part of duty to input and maintain all office work: booking all records in the inventory system (RESCO) in addition to monitoring and analysing important financial reports such as daily Food Costs, Budget Control for Hotel and Uniforms, Bar Net change Report, reporting to HODs and Office about all required information, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of storeroom operation and storing procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of food & beverage products and general hotel supply items.
  • Thorough knowledge of shipboard cost control procedures and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing systems, records and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel and Word for Windows (MXP or Crunch time)
  • Good knowledge of cruise ship catering operations.
  • Familiar with all departments and their functions within Hotel / Food & Beverage operations.
  • Must have extensive experience within shore and ship-based food & beverage operations.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of general accounting procedures and budget planning.
  • Must have a formal degree in catering management from a recognised institution.
  • Fluent English language.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Collaborative approach to outcomes.
  • Developed organisation and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of accuracy whilst being efficient.
  • Think laterally and develop new concepts and ideas.
  • Valid STCW certificates, as required for the position.
