The Role:  We seek a talented and experienced '1st Officer'.

Description Brief: Senior Watchkeeping deck officer responsible for safe passage planning in line with company requirements and to the satisfaction of the Master. Must be confident in leading the bridge team by example in compliance and best practices to ensure company vessels are operated to the highest of professional standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Chief Officer Unlimited Certificate of Competency.
• Polar Advanced CoP (Basic acceptable).
• Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO).
• Extensive watchkeeping experience as Officer in charge of a watch
• Proven experience as passage planning officer on ECDIS ships
• Extensive watchkeeping experience in Polar waters, preferred over the time required to gain Polar Code Advanced CoP.
• Experience working with modern integrated bridge systems, Azimuth and conventional propulsion.
• Proven experience in small craft handling, preferably tiller steer zodiacs and RHIBs.
