The Role: We seek a talented and experienced '3rd Officer'.
Description Brief: OOW, a single watchkeeper responsible for the conduct and safety of the ship as the Masters representative. Must be aware of all aspects of the ship including fire and safety monitoring and confident in reacting to any emergency and taking rapid and appropriate initial actions. Hands-on navigation of the ship and working together with the other deck officers to ensure compliance outside of watch hours. May be designated to Navigation or Safety Duty.
Minimum Requirements:
- To apply for this role, you must hold an Officer of the Watch (II/3) License.
- Proven watchkeeping experience as an Officer in charge of a watch, Strong Newly Qualified Officers can be considered.
- Experience in using AMOS planned maintenance system.
- Experience in small craft handling, preferably tiller steer zodiacs and RHIBs preferred.
- Experience working with modern integrated bridge systems, azimuth, and conventional propulsion.
- Valid STCW certificates, as required for the position.
- An amazing team player with a positive attitude to ‘get the job done’.
