JOB OVERVIEW

As a Plumber you are responsible for performing various task such as the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures for drainage and water systems.

The Plumber job description also entails overseeing the fitting and repair of sanitation systems such as bathtubs, showers, toilets, and sinks.

Experience in repairing of domestic appliances such as water heaters and dish washers to ensure they operate efficiently.

Inspect work sites to determine the type and amount of material/equipment required for a plumbing Project.

In addition, the Plumber's role entails testing plumbing systems to identify leaks and other faults.

The Plumber should possess excellent communication skills with an ability to solve complex problems efficiently. Outstanding time management skills, Project Coordination Skills and good physical stamina is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspecting plumbing work/projects thoroughly.
• Working in coordination with assistant plumber.
• Drill or cut holes in walls/floor to make room for the passage of pipes.
• Adjusting water pressure as per equipment requirements.
• Installing garbage disposals equipment in sinks.
• Checking new installation leaks.
• Running tests on new and old pumps.
• Ensuring the work area is clean and tidy.
• Ensuring guest and staff safety as per company regulations.
• Troubleshooting small leaks in the installation.
• Report to Maintenance Manager on a daily basis.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure plumbing equipment are functioning efficiently.
• Dig trenches/install pipes and piping fixtures for water or sewage systems.

EDUCATION
• Minimum High School Diploma

REQUIREMENTS
• Work experience of at least two years as a Plumber or a similar role.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Strong working experience with plumbing tools and equipments.
• Understanding of various plumbing techniques.
• Ability to work in uncomfortable position and spaces.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Hardworking and physically fit individual.
• Exceptional problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good active listening abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot leaks and clogs.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and willing to work weekend.
• Must be able to utilize hand tools in fitting of valves, couplings and components for tanks, pumps or other plumbing system.
