As Specialist, Graphic Designer, you will create concepts, artwork and copy layouts for material that will be presented in marketing communications media such as online, shipboard collateral, magazines, brochures, flyers and video. You will be responsible for creating all brand excursions design concepts for all channels and providing feedback to existing design elements as needed. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the brand Marketing Creative Director and team on all projects to ensure brand consistency and alignment.

Career Snapshot:

  • Create and implement critical design elements for all communication needs both shore-side and shipboard within established guidelines.
  • Partners closely with the Marketing Account Executive to understand the objective of the creative/project brief and deliver [related] creative that aligns with the brand.
  • Design, layout and coordination of marketing collateral materials, such as: graphic assets (logos and product photos), promotional flyers, printed and electronic advertisements, direct mail pieces, banners, tradeshow graphics, catalogs, PowerPoint presentations, video clips concepts, iPad content design, etc.
  • Develop artwork to internal branding requirements. Review final material and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Leads the design efforts including concepts and production for large, multi-level, promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborates with copywriter to ensure design and copy complement the marketing piece.
  • Organize and maintain Asset Library [videos and images specific to shore excursion offerings].
  • Must stay current and knowledgeable of design trends in upscale travel industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university or directly related, equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Graphic Designer/Artist role in a fast-paced, multi-project corporate environment.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are essential.
  • Able to multi task and work on numerous projects simultaneously
  • Strong creative background required. Portfolio of work samples required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with printers, copywriters, photographers, web designers, other graphic designers, marketing account executives/Managers and other marketing specialists.
  • Demonstrated experience in Mac and Windows applications including InDesign, Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is required. Knowledge with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, FileMaker and Final Cut Pro is a plus.
  • Current regarding latest design trends and what consumers respond best to.

Preferences:

  • Web design knowledge preferred.
  • Luxury/premium brand experience highly preferred.
