Position Summary:

The Information Security Manager is accountable for the creation, implementation, and oversight of a wide series of strategies and programs designed to limit information risks across the entire extended enterprise (Shoreside and Shipboard) to a level tolerable to the business and IT. The role establishes that the security risks related to information systems and assets are indentified and managed to external regulatory and legislative requirements while also delivering against internal policy constraints. The Manager will also act as leader to other members of the team and proactively collaborates with internal departments as well as external vendors to reduce security risk within the company.

Career Snapshot:

• Manages a cross functional team of security professionals focusing on Architecture, Engineering and Security Threat Management
• Able to priortize projects and day-to-day requests since the company is heavily focused on projects while managing the risks using sound judgement and excellent time management skills
• Provide leadership, vision, management, and support to the reporting teams
• Lead programs and processes to monitor the emergence of new threats and vulnerabilities, assessing impacts and driving responses as appropriate
• Ensure that clear and timely business advice is provided to executive managment on key information security and assurance issues
• Establish a global information security and risk management functional capability and architecture across the organization
• Ensure that information security and risk is adequately represented on relevant business and governance forums and is known, well-integrated, and well-respected across the enterprise
• Drive and maintain the information security management system to identify, quantify, catalog, and remedy information risk across the enterprise, escalating where necessary
• Manage the process to administer policy exceptions, ensuring that they are subject to appropriate controls, both before and after approval

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in area specific to Information Technology
• 10 ( ) years of experience within Information Technology (IT)
• 7 ( ) years specifically working in Information Security
• 3 ( ) years managing and Information Security department
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge and capabilities across a variety of technical concepts and other functional areas
• Professional certifications specifice to Information Security such as CISSP, CISM, and CIPP
• Managed a team in a publicly traded organization with the following compliance requirements: Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, HIPPA, and Data Privacy
• Strong security leadership skills as wel as experience leading and developing technical professionals
• Able to handle incident response situations
• Proficient with methodologies, tools, best pratices, and processes across various technology areas
• Ability to collaborate with technical peers
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
• Demonstrates a wide range of creativity with strong analytical and problem solving skills

Preferences:

• Masters Degree in area specific to Information Technology
• Past Networking experience  or certifications
• Incident Response training or certifications
• Large global company experience
