Overview
The MCA STCW proficiency in medical care on board ship refresher course is an intensive 3 day course and is designed for seafarers who have previously completed the full Medical care course and require updating their knowledge and skills. This course meets the requirements of MCA.
On successful completion the candidate will received the MCA STCW medical care on board ship Refresher certificate.
This course will run subject to numbers. All available as block bookings.
The course will run throughout the year with further dates to be confirmed.

Minimum entry requirements
- You must already hold a STCW medical care onboard ship certificate.
- You must be at least 16 years old.

- Recognition and Management of a range of medical and trauma emergencies on board ship.
- Communications.
- Making a diagnosis.
- Female reproductive system and childbirth.
- Respiratory system.
- Medications and injections.
- Urinary Tract, ENT, Dental and Ophthalmic.
- Communicable Diseases.
- Wounds.
- Truma injuries.
On successful completion the candidate will received the MCA STCW medical care on board ship Refresher certificate.
