This course meets the requirements set out in sections A/2.1.7 and A/II of the ISPS Code and the corresponding guidance in Part B of the ISPS Code and relevant UK legislation requirements. The course covers the security requirements on board ship and the interface of the ship with the port facility and operating company.

• Threat Identification, Recognition and Response
• Ship Security Actions
• Emergency Preparedness, Drills and Exercises

This is a three day course instructed via PowerPoint presentations and concluded with a test on the ISPS code. This course meets the requirements of IMO model course 3.20.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements but attendees should have the relevant knowledge of the Merchant Navy Operations to enable them to undertake the CSO responsibilities if required
