This course aims to provide knowledge to those who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Ship Safety Officer, in accordance with the requirements of Chapter IX of the International Safety management Code (SOLAS), the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, and the SA Merchant Shipping (Safety Management) Regulations, 2003.

Requirements

South African identity document or valid passport. All candidates must be conversant and literate in English.

Additional

A minimum of 4 candidates are required for the course. The fee includes manuals, notes, stationery and sundry materials. Refreshments and lunch are provided whilst on course.
