This STCW Basic Training course contains 5 modules: Personal Survival Techniques (PST), Elementary First Aid (EFA), Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR), Proficiency in Security Awareness (PSA) and Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF). Since the PSA module is only required on yachts or ships to which the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) code applies we offer this module as an online learning module in order to not extend the “contact” time in class. It is however a requirement to sit a small assessment exam for the PSA to be accepted by the MCA. The examination is very flexible and will be scheduled to your needs and readiness.

Remember that all seafarers must have undergone (as per 01.01.2017) training in the PST and FPFF module no longer than five years ago or have done a corresponding refresher course if course participation was a long time ago.

The above described course modules (PST & FPFF) serve both purposes!
