This course is a 4 day STCW Basic Safety Courses programme.As Follows.

• Monday: STCW Elementary First Aid.
• Tuesday: STCW Personal Survival Techniques.
• Wednesday: STCW Ship Security Awareness. Security Designated Duties.
• Thursday: STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities.

The above courses are mandatory for all seafarers in all roles aboard and must renewed every 5 years.

Fire prevention & fire fighting is not included. 

We follow with a Deck Crane & Safe Lifting course on Friday. The Deck Crane Course is not an STCW Course and is not mandatory, however most employers require it as you must have a safe lifting certificate if you are to operate any lifting equipment. It is an extra €250 and is not includes in the price of the STCW Basic Safety Training week.

Entry Requirements

Students must be normally physically fit and carry a seafarers medical certificate.
